1. What are wall decals?

Wall tattoos are the new living trend to decorate your home quickly and easily. Our wall tattoos are made of high-quality, semi-gloss and self-adhesive vinyl film. A big advantage of wall tattoos is that you can remove them easily and without leaving any residue.

2. Where can I put wall decals?

The films we use for wall tattoos stick to window panes, mirrors, wood, metal, tiles and even fine plaster and woodchip wallpaper. Before applying, please ensure that the substrates are free of dust, grease, latex and silicone. Our wall decals also stick to most wallpapers. We enclose a free test sticker with each shipment, you can use this to test whether the film will stick to your wall. If the film does not stick to your wall, we can send you samples with other adhesive strengths, simply fill out the following form.

3. Where do wall decals not stick?

Unfortunately, our wall tattoos cannot be attached to dirt-repellent surfaces containing silicone (wall paint or wallpaper). For glossy paints containing latex, we recommend a test beforehand. If your wall surface is very rough, the film will not find enough contact points and may fall off again. Here, too, we recommend that you check in advance with a test sample whether the wall tattoo is in the desired place. Attaching the wall tattoo can be difficult on damp and cold walls.
The surface to be glued should generally be clean, dust-free, grease-free and dry. Furthermore, the room should be sufficiently tempered (15°C to 25°C), only then can the film develop its full adhesive power.

4. My wall decal is not sticking properly to my wall!

If the film does not stick properly to your wall in places,
so you can heat the spots that don't hold with a hair dryer at the lowest level and press the spots firmly against the wall. By heating you ensure a better adhesion.

5. How can I cut out individual parts of a wall tattoo?

We deliver our wall tattoo embedded between a backing paper and a transfer film. Only the motif itself goes on the wall without the backing paper and transfer foil. For an individual wall design, you can cut the motif into individual elements before attaching it to the wall. You don't have to pay attention to exact cutting edges, since only the motif is attached to the wall at the end. The backing paper and transfer film are discarded after application.

6. How long does the new wall paint have to dry?

Our experience has shown that after painting the wall or wallpaper, it should be allowed to dry for at least two to three weeks before you start applying the wall tattoo.

7. How can I test whether the film is sticking to my wall?

You can easily test with a piece of adhesive tape (e.g. adhesive tape or masking tape) whether our film will stick to your wall. If the piece of tape doesn't stick to the wall overnight, then our wall decal probably won't stick to your wall.

8. Can I reuse the slides?

Since our wall decals are made of a vinyl film that is less than a millimeter thick, they cannot be removed after they have been pressed in place without damaging the motif. As long as you still have the transparent transfer film on the motif, you can change the position of the wall tattoo.

9. How can I remove wall decals?

Our wall tattoos can be easily removed from the wall. Simply take a cutter knife, tweezers or a sharp knife and carefully lift the edge of the film off the wall. Then you can remove the film without leaving any residue.
If the film cannot be removed as easily as can be the case, for example, on glass, tiles or other smooth surfaces,
heat the film on the lowest setting with a hair dryer. After removing the foil, a so-called ghost effect can occur, in which you can still see the outlines of the motif on the wall after removing the wall sticker.
This happens after a certain period of time because every color fades over time.

10. Can something happen during removal?

Normally, our wall tattoos can be easily removed from the wall without leaving any adhesive residue.
In exceptional cases, however, it can happen that small pieces of paint from the wall stick to the adhesive surface of the film. This usually only happens with unprimed walls / wall paints that were not able to dry sufficiently before application.
If you want to stick uncoated paper wallpaper or other sensitive surfaces, it is advisable to use the test pattern on an inconspicuous area to try out whether the motif can be removed again. Due to the large variety of surfaces, we unfortunately cannot give you any guarantee that the wall tattoo can be removed without leaving any residue.

11. Can I store wall decals?

Ideally, our wall decals are put on the wall immediately after delivery.
If you do not have this option, you can store our wall tattoos unrolled on a clean and smooth surface at a temperature between 10°C and 25°C for up to 6 months.

12. How can I understand the size specification of the products?

The size specification represents an imaginary rectangle around the highest and widest points.
Larger motifs are delivered partially assembled and can be assembled to the specified size.
